September 2017 Passive Income Report: $277.08
Hey Everyone! I am super excited to start putting out Passive Income Reports (ways I make money without “working” a 9-5). This is a great way for me to keep an eye on my progress, and a transparent way for you to follow along as well if you’re thinking about making passive income.
I can’t wait to look back several years from now and see where I started and how far I have come. 🙂
On a Personal Level
Before I get into the income report I wanted to give you an update on what I have been doing to get closer to my goals 🙂 (Here is the blog post I did about my upcoming goals)
Life is good, I am on track to hit my savings goal and planning for my epic road trip is in full swing.
I need your help if you can?
My trip is going to be across the continental US (48 states). Can you shoot me an email (email@example.com) or DM me (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) awesome places where you live/have been? I am looking for lakes, hiking, camping, beaches etc.
Can’t wait to hear from you!
As far as my 5 year goals go, my girlfriend is still putting up with me lol, even though I made this crazy video (no we are not eloping) 🙂
My last goal is to buy a single family home with cash. Over the past 2 years I have been working tirelessly to try and develop my investing strategy in stocks, which is where most of my passive income was last month.

I use stash for my long term investing. For short term “cash flow” (month to month passive income) I have been using an app called Robinhood because they have no trading fees.
**I don’t recommend trying this until you are debt free, at least everything except the mortgage, because you can literally lose all your money if you don’t know what you are doing.**
By using the technical analysis I have been working on over the past 24 months, I got 14% return on my money this month.
In the Step-By –Step Guide I created to help you create your own blog, I outline the 4 main ways to make money blogging. Yes, you can make money blogging. It takes time though, I don’t recommend quitting your job and blogging to make money obviously. Also, it’s not all about making money, I genuinely want to help you reach your goals, which is why I blog.
The 4 Main ways to make money are:
1 Google Adsense - $20.03 - These are ads that google places on the site
2 Course – I am still trying to decide on the course I should create. (Maybe a stock investing course?!?)
3 Hire Me – I have two versions of a hire me section:
- Personal finance Counselling
- College Speaking – I am doing a finance workshop in October I am very excited about
4 Affiliate Marketing
- Amazon Books - $1.73 (Check out this post on 5 Must Read Books)
- Stash - $ 5
Cool Happenings for Young Adult Survival Guide
In September there were two feature articles that came out, one from Forbes and one from CNBC. This was a great way to get the word out about the blog and traffic definitely surged.
In Washington DC, our local news station WUSA9, will have me on their show Sunday Morning Oct 22. I am so pumped for that! 🙂
I want to give you a shout out. Thank you for reading the site and sharing it with people you know. Without you there is no Young Adult Survival Guide!
Hit me up if I can help you in anyway.
